Flower Pot Heaters - Do They Work?

We have been looking that flower pot heaters and trying to get them to work as an emergency / auxiliary way to heat a small room. Unfortunately, we have been unable to make the heaters work in a way that will raise the temperature, of a small room, by even one or two degrees. The flower pot does become very hot (too hot to touch), but the heat doesn't radiate out into the room in any meaningful way.

The following YouTube videos demonstrate much the same that we found in our own attempts to get this to work... It doesn't!

Cascadia Survivalist has tried these flower pot heaters and found that they simply do not work. They just don't have that capability to raise the temperature of even a small room. However, once the flower pot heats up, it does work as a "hand warmer" to some extent (just be careful not to burn yourself).
