APRS Thursday

APRS or Automatic Packet Reporting System is used for real-time communication to share information of immediate importance in a local area. APRS ensures digital communications, as it is an amateur radio-based system. Information shared over the APRS network may include coordinates, altitude, speed, heading, text messages, alerts, announcements, bulletins and weather data.

APRS Thursday is an opportunity to check in to a world-wide APRS net, exchange messages with other stations, and practice using APRS for two-way communication. If you are a licensed amateur radio operator and have an interest in APRS, follow the instructions in the above graphic to participate in APRS Thursday.
