What To Do When Lost in the Woods (US Forest Service 1946)

We saw this USFS Bulletin in a booklet "The Wisdom of Old Woodsmen", and thought it was interesting.

The Wisdom of Old Woodsmen is a compilation of advice from the woodsmen of our grand-parents and great-grand-parents time; men like Nessmuk, D.C. Beard, Claude P. Fordyce, Horace Kephart, Ernest Thompson Seton, and others. It teaches not only how to survive in the wilderness, but a way of thriving and being self-reliant. It shows us a way of living in the forest and in harmony with the land when choosing to venture into the backcountry, to go afield for a time and leave behind the conveniences, and the problems, of modern society.
